[bodytext] => memories of love as a weapon
just another heart in a jar on a fireplace mantel
losing grip on a precipice ledge
and slowly fading away fighting unwinnable battles
but I wake up smiling
blue skies have never been so beautiful
and still not as beautiful as your eyes
when you`re looking at me
and I can`t believe how much my heart swells
all my feelings are stitched onto my flesh
you flow right through me like liquid gold
you are not hard walls of stone with sharp edges cutting me down
you are a slow burning flame in me
not a raging wildfire destroying me piece by piece by piece
so I wake up happy
it`s a feeling I`ve missed for years and years
but I find it every time that we kiss
and just looking at you
I somehow know I finally found my place
that every step has led me here to you
memories of love as a hot bath
something I can sink into and close my eyes and feel alright
letting go of control in the dark
I`m not afraid of any part of this, I know we`ll be fine
it`s somewhere I`ve not been
and I`d go anywhere with you, my love
just take my hand and I will take the leap
thank you for giving me
new memories to cherish all my life
and being a safe place for me to fall
