When some fool knocked on my door:
From the local hardware store.

Eagerly I sought to borrow;
From my neighbor (to our sorrow);
His new pipe wrench yesterday.
Which he expected back today.

But that pipe continued leaking;
So today I planned on tweeking;
On that joint a little more;
Knock Knock, again at my front door.

Said the salesman: I am here;
With a brand new pipe wrench dear;
To replace the one you lack.
Quote your neighbor: Give mine back!!

Should by chance you be awakened;
By a salesman, dont be taken;
Never open your front door;
Hell give up in due time for sure.

So I kept the neighbors wrench;
Thats it sitting on the bench;
I sent the salesman back nextdoor;
Cause I’ll return it
Nevermore. Once upon a midnight, dearie,
Couldn’t sleep tho I was weary.
When some fool knocked on my door:
From the local hardware store.

Eagerly I sought to borrow;
From my neighbor (to our sorrow);
His new pipe wrench yesterday.
Which he expected back today.

But that pipe continued leaking;
So today I planned on tweeking;
On that joint a little more;
Knock Knock, again at my front door.

I sent the salesman back nextdoor;
Cause I’ll return it
Nevermore.
