I laid my head and tried to drift,

I pulled my hood upon my head,
and sheltered by a jagged stone;
by then my face was burning red,
my lips were cracked, and slowly bled,
the wind began to howl and moan.

The rain began to sprinkle down,
and soak the jacket that I wore;
no shelter near me could be found,
and miles from the nearest town,
was soaked and frozen to the core.

I laid my body on the ground,
was no where else that i could roam;
the howling wind, the only sound,
and not a friendly face around,
I closed my eyes to dream of home. I/'/ve sat within the dismal rift,
the weeping hollow, void of light;
I laid my head and tried to drift,
but only then, the winds did shift,
and chilled the air within the night.

I pulled my hood upon my head,
and sheltered by a jagged stone;
by then my face was burning red,
my lips were cracked, and slowly bled,
the wind began to howl and moan.

The rain began to sprinkle down,
and soak the jacket that I wore;
no shelter near me could be found,
and miles from the nearest town,
was soaked and frozen to the core.

I laid my body on the ground,
was no where else that i could roam;
the howling wind, the only sound,
and not a friendly face around,
I closed my eyes to dream of home.
