Nothing seems to be going my way
A snapped rope
That seemed like my last hope
Misfire, missing my mark
Maybe I just need to look in my heart
A dull knife
Perhaps Sharpened on an exciting life
Today just isn’t my day
Nothing is going my way

A drop of arsenic in my drink,
I don’t even need time to think.
But as I sit here in the floor
Letting the tears pour
I think about my day
How nothings gone my way

I sit here and cry
All because today I’ve been trying to die

But what is it they say,
No use crying over spilt milk
No matter what I tried nothing would stick
My my what a waste of arsenic

Topic: Sad Poetry

Contributed By: Voice of the Silent

Today just isn’t my day.
Nothing seems to be going my way
A snapped rope
That seemed like my last hope
Misfire, missing my mark
Maybe I just need to look in my heart
A dull knife
Perhaps Sharpened on an exciting life
Today just isn’t my day
Nothing is going my way

A drop of arsenic in my drink,
I don’t even need time to think.
But as I sit here in the floor
Letting the tears pour
I think about my day
How nothings gone my way

I sit here and cry
All because today I’ve been trying to die

But what is it they say,
No use crying over spilt milk
No matter what I tried nothing would stick
My my what a waste of arsenic
