Along red velvet carpets;
Lived in the city,
But never in the woods

I've embraced technology,
Loving arms and kisses;
Traversed rough waters,
While bathing in the calm

I've danced and sang,
Washing in the rain;
Laughed and smiled,
With but the fondest hearts

And so I've come to learn,
The most flexible path,
Is simply one of dirt;
As it's carried by the wind

And so, I travel more,
To see what the future has in store;
To experience what new stories I shall tell,
To find paradise, as well as inevitable hell

What man walks past forest,
Farms and city as well,
Saying to himself, "Somewhere,
Someday, I'll find my home?"

Surely not I,
Not any more
For I cannot embrace the future,
Unless I embrace what's in store

I've walked on stone sidewalks;
