Some people say, money is just the thing.
Like money is gonna make things happen for you.
But that neediness,
is gonna make it less!

What counts is your own intent,
that’s what will pay the rent.
You lease the support of others,
untill it’s time to have their back.

I’ve got your back,
and you take care.
Then it’s truth or dare.
That’s what’s gonna help you out.

Coz money by itself,
is just a thing.
So what do you think of that?

Whatever it means to you,
will be the means to an end.
They one sure thing is your intent.

When money is your excuse,
or insurance policy.
You might not take a chance,
to spent some time with poverty.

Then it’s all about humanity,
and what do you do,
with real needs to be adressed.

Iike the need for a friend,
some human touch,
or spending quality time.

So what does it mean,
to be alive?
That’s what you will find out!

So money or nothing,
is really a thing,
that keeps you away.

From living life,
the way it is!

What do you do,
when money is gone.
Do you still feel alive?

Coz money is not a thing,
that sticks around for long.
That is why I wrote this song,
to keep you apprised.

Make your money work for you,
and fit the shoe,
of someone who can leave it all behind.

The one you are,
that’s the thing.
That will come true.

So money or nothing,
is really saying,
I doubt myself,
and pay the price.

So take my hint,
and ask yourself:
What makes live worthwhile,
from the start?

Some people say, money is just the thing.
Like money is gonna make things happen for you.
