That used to hang on my wall
Hidden away so I could try to forget about it all

With much regret I still remember the day
I met you on the sand
Next to the sea

I gave you a blue diamond
Full of sparkle and shine
On your hand it went and you were mine

You were so infatuated with love
With all of its mystique and mystery
I even thought together we would go down in history

As time passed by
I became just another guy
It was time for you to say goodbye

In the end you forgot all about me
Now my future appears much brighter

I found your picture today
That used to hang on my wall
Hidden away so I could try to forget about it all

With much regret I still remember the day
I met you on the sand
Next to the sea

I gave you a blue diamond
Full of sparkle and shine
On your hand it went and you were mine

You were so infatuated with love
With all of its mystique and mystery
I even thought together we would go down in history

As time passed by
I became just another guy
It was time for you to say goodbye

In the end you forgot all about me
Now my future appears much brighter
For having your picture removed from my wall
