as the dear departed,
raise a silent prayer to your lips.
Whispers of muted tears.
As arid desert winds
carry away grains of sand,
so have you passed into the unknown.

Does the soul bear the tenderness of the human heart
into the unfathomable beyond!
While we shave our heads and wear our whites,
and soothe our parting in senseless habits
Do you, of the cosmos, feel just as pained!

There are no goodbyes,
we just wish you well.

May the calm connect us both!

When words take leave,
as the dear departed,
raise a silent prayer to your lips.
Whispers of muted tears.
As arid desert winds
carry away grains of sand,
so have you passed into the unknown.

Does the soul bear the tenderness of the human heart
into the unfathomable beyond!
While we shave our heads and wear our whites,
and soothe our parting in senseless habits
Do you, of the cosmos, feel just as pained!

There are no goodbyes,
we just wish you well.

May the calm connect us both!
