You know I'd still compare you to the sun
just not in the way I would have before
not because you were radiant or
even because you were beautiful

But because people told me
that you would burn my eyes out
I didn't listen because I thought
that you were the brightest thing
I had ever laid eyes on so I stayed

Then I realized too late that maybe
you were too bright for me and
you prefered to shine by yourself
I was told you'd burn my eyes out
and you did telling me I should
have worn my sunglasses [comments] => 1 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 22 [informant] => lydthon15 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove ) Your Poetry Dot Com - Sunglasses
