Getting through each day
they flash by so damn fast
Sometimes not knowing what to do
as I sit and think about my past

Not something I always enjoy
to ponder and waste my time away
Today I realize absence of motivation
I wish it wasn't something I could say

Today I get older
the feeling seems really strange
There is nothing I can do about it
it’s a fact I cannot change

Yesterday I was younger
one day less than I am today
I see one more wrinkle
and one more hair turns to grey

Not long ago I was a teenager
without a worry in the world
Until family ties were broken
into the world I was hurled

This precious baby was born
adored with wonders of how his life will be
Just how fast time would pass
is something nobody could really see

Middle aged now
realizing my time left is less than what I've had to live
If I could only be immortal
anything I would give

But it isn't so
I need not ponder as often as I do
It’s time to enjoy my life
and share all of my happiness with each one of you
