Trapped in her prison while trying to do the time
Her voice was cut down when she was trying to do right
Her voice is trapped within herself, letting go; try as she might

Little girl alone and afraid trying to do the time
She can't go on living this way when didn't commit no crime
She tries to rise within herself to take control
Her voice haven't been used in so long is gonna take a toll

Little girl wants to be heard from miles away
She wants to know what being loved is and finally have her say
The voice within her reaches out and shouts
"I am an opinion that wants to be heard and I demand to be let out!" Little girl without a voice can't speak her mind
Trapped in her prison while trying to do the time

Her voice is trapped within herself, letting go; try as she might

Little girl alone and afraid trying to do the time

Her voice haven't been used in so long is gonna take a toll

Little girl wants to be heard from miles away
She wants to know what being loved is and finally have her say
The voice within her reaches out and shouts
"I am an opinion that wants to be heard and I demand to be let out!"
