Memories I forgot
Trapped in a box
My mind was unprepared
For the onslaught
The waves of emotions
I fought them
To the death
For the rest
Of my life
I will live by the knife
If you cut me
I cut you twice
If you love me
Then I love you back

Simply stated
Unabated
I come closer then ever before
Within a moment
At any point
Death is at my door
Hold me steady
As I shiver
As I let a tear hit the floor
Stronger now
Resilience endeavored
I had enough
I want no more

Take me away
Let me fly
I have no truths
I live my lies
In perpetual struggle
I come to terms
With my choices that have shaped this mind
Coming together are wisdom, age and never ending time
Focused on the light
The darkness does it's best to hide
Repressed and in denial
My sins become my crimes
My overt pessimism
Will undoubtedly deny
My dreams of family, success and the belief that I am worthy of life

Meaningful it was not
Memories I forgot
