be it me to be thy best?
for if not this is true,
then might i be thy pest?

i find thee oddsome on this day
thou seems as not thyself
why? i pray thee answer well
does thy heart not now hold wealth?

i am then melancholy
my friend, to be of such a friend
the willows will whisper with truth
to the ear that willows will bend

to the east then, under a sad sun
too sorrowful to hold conference
too many, if not so few
will be by to make no difference

pleasantry of thy soul will wash away
that which is too distressful
this will happen before mankind
to thy joy, this is blessfull

come now, to me, so we may go
thou art not to be waiting
there is magic to the east
and ever so soon to be daylight's fading

ado, my good reader
i must make of my way
to away from this
i bid all a good day...

'tis i, thy friend
be it me to be thy best?
for if not this is true,
then might i be thy pest?

i find thee oddsome on this day
thou seems as not thyself
why? i pray thee answer well
does thy heart not now hold wealth?

i am then melancholy
my friend, to be of such a friend
the willows will whisper with truth
to the ear that willows will bend

to the east then, under a sad sun
too sorrowful to hold conference
too many, if not so few
will be by to make no difference

pleasantry of thy soul will wash away
that which is too distressful
this will happen before mankind
to thy joy, this is blessfull

come now, to me, so we may go
thou art not to be waiting
there is magic to the east
and ever so soon to be daylight's fading

ado, my good reader
i must make of my way
to away from this
i bid all a good day...
