Before the tides turn with the thoughts of the many.

A recognition of what it means in the larger scheme of things,

To sit with a well of feelings that underlie the truth.

But you still know, and for all the soft balm of salty pools my eyes will never close.

Why do I have to know?

It's not just a change of mortal dwelling but it was my hope, that just for a while we

Could pretend there was no truth, that what lurked in the shadows could just remain hidden

For a little longer, and yet I know the voice behind the tides

And I cannot change your time.

For love has no finer reflection than in the darkest waters of

Mortality. It is a curse to know before knowledge has an accepted time,

Mortality.
