Yet take no more space than it ever does?
How can a word-smith express
inexpressible feelings of love?

I, once thinking no emotion safe
From the power of my pen,
Have but to gaze upon your face
To be at a loss again.

My heart! My heart!
Once a closed and empty thing,
Has by your love a brand new start
From which to thee I sing.

Gladly do I spend my days
Revelling in the joy;
Happily do I search for ways
To show my love, forever more.
