I got them by swallowing my pride, telling myself its my fault
and if I change it will all be over, but it clawed its way out
tearing everything in its way and telling me to leave you
but how can I when I love you.

You don't understand that not everything
can be switched off, not everyone can forget their feelings
and chase their dreams, not everyone can forget their
roots and run being pushed by the wind. Not everything
is that easy.

So you want to know how I got these scars?
I got them by telling my self that you might be different
you might understand, but you were never truly here
to listen were you?

With a love like that you hardly have to ask.
