Kept it til the day before;
20 years I drove it round
It was faithful, cheap, and sound.

Yesterday I set it free;
Donated it to charity.
Bought a new car just my size;
But everything’s computerized!

Got a manual THIS thick;
to help me make some sense of it!

Darn thing starts without a key;
If I’m in proximity!
Has a satellite radio;
How it works, I do not know.
There’s no knob or dial in sight;
Just a screen that’s black as night.

Seats are heated; with a lifter!
Even has a paddle shifter;
(Guess they figured just in case;
I need to row across a lake?)

Don’t know how to start the wipers;
(I knew more than this in diapers!)

Nice big trunk--I sneaked a peek;
(Climbed in through that big back seat!)
Cause it opens magically;
I know not how, most tragically.

The sound’s a “system”; 7 speakers!
Two that boom, and 5 are tweekers?

There’s a screen for navigation;
Maps for every single nation;
Shows me freeways in Taiwan;
Keeps repeating “Navi-on!”

Whole car runs by one computer!
She's the boss of this commuter;

Think she likes me..(could be wrong)
Cause she beeps when I am gone.

Eyes on both sides and behind her;
I’d hide too, and don’t remind her!

What she looks like? Not a clue;
(Except one of her teeth is blue..)

I’ll keep reading; I’ll keep hoping;
Soon I'll get the gas tank open!

Until I figure her intent;
I own a driveway ornament.
