too scared to move or fight,

wrapped within the swirling black,
pure chaos hinders sight,

listen to the raven,
come hide within his voice,

a sound to hark the frozen fear,
a pause to make a choice,

release of breath... panic comes,
an hour or just seconds,

too late he caws... you overstep,
you cannot hide... he beckons,

the seventh hour strikes its toll,
in dark you cannot hide,

break your fear upon the rocks,
escape your own demise.
