I came home and you were gone.
I looked and called and you where no where to be found.
I walked towards the room,
Hoping you were tucked away asleep, like you always were when I came back at lunch.
I came home and you left, I came home and you were gone.
As I approached the door to the room and slowly turned the handle, I saw the home phone sitting on the bed.
I came home and you left,
I came home and you were gone.
I turned and went to the closet and there hanging were empty clothes hangers, all your belongings were gone.
I came home and you left,
I came home and you were gone.
I walked to the desk where I saw an open notebook, where you wrote a letter explaining the reason for why, you and I could no longer be.
I came home and you left,
I came home and you were gone.
I tried to take it all in and try make sense what was going on…I yelled, screamed and began to cry.
I came home and you left,
I came home and you were gone.
I fell to my knees and began to ask why,
I came home and you left,
I came home and you were gone.
All I wanted to do was fall into a deep whole and die.
I came home and you left.
I came home and you were gone.
Please don’t shut me out…
just answer your phone so we can talk.

I came home and you left,
I came home and you were gone.
