Some thing that stays with you that you long to forget?

I have and it haunts me in my dreams.
I can't stop thinking about it for it is sown into my very seams.

I fear that this memory may never go away.
For it haunts me day after day.

I long for the images to go.
But they stay, and when they appear I can hear my self just saying "No no no!"

If only he had stopped and turned around.
I wouldn't be here stuck with the image of him laying on the ground.

Then all I hear is the deafening bang, and people telling me I did the right thing.

Will I ever find release?
Will I truly be at peace?

These are questions that I don't have the answer to.
But for now what helps is to share this nightmare of mine with you. Have you ever done any thing that you regret?

I can't stop thinking about it for it is sown into my very seams.
