Yes forgiveness is hard
And some things are unforgivable
But to have piece of mind and a true heart of gold
So I’m told, you must forgive

Whatever your religion in the world today
They must all condone forgiveness
Forgive those who have wronged you
Forgive those who have lied to you
Forgive those who have cheated
Forgive those who know, know better
It is you who is their teacher now

From your sacrifice comes hope
Hope for the unforgiven to be saved
Mend their evil ways through forgiveness
My brothers and sisters
Forgive today, smile tomorrow

Forgiven

Yes forgiveness is hard
And some things are unforgivable
But to have piece of mind and a true heart of gold
So I’m told, you must forgive

Whatever your religion in the world today
They must all condone forgiveness
Forgive those who have wronged you
Forgive those who have lied to you
Forgive those who have cheated
Forgive those who know, know better
It is you who is their teacher now

From your sacrifice comes hope
Hope for the unforgiven to be saved
Mend their evil ways through forgiveness
My brothers and sisters
Forgive today, smile tomorrow
