In beds of bulbs a wrinkle spreads,
announces end of blizzard grips
as spring arrives with thunderheads
and serves ice points with pinkish slips.
The tulip spears stand tall in greens
protecting buds of future queens.

A Cardinal flits from limb to limb
among the Elm tree's heavy buds
in search of home where nesting hymn
may echo like a river's flood
as singing hen sits on new eggs
beneath the feathers 'round her legs.

In pasture spots the Kline grass sprouts
and spreads across the rolling plains
where mother cows, nomads in drought
until the season brings warm rains,
grow heavy sides as doggie moves,
begins to kick with forked hooves.

I see this resurrection site
where buried life begins to stir
and think of mans' eternal right
to live again,though proof's a blur,
when after death, we leave all strife
until our Easter bursts in life. Resurrection

In beds of bulbs a wrinkle spreads,
announces end of blizzard grips
as spring arrives with thunderheads
and serves ice points with pinkish slips.
The tulip spears stand tall in greens
protecting buds of future queens.

A Cardinal flits from limb to limb
among the Elm tree's heavy buds
in search of home where nesting hymn
may echo like a river's flood
as singing hen sits on new eggs
beneath the feathers 'round her legs.

In pasture spots the Kline grass sprouts
and spreads across the rolling plains
where mother cows, nomads in drought
until the season brings warm rains,
grow heavy sides as doggie moves,
begins to kick with forked hooves.

I see this resurrection site
where buried life begins to stir
and think of mans' eternal right
to live again,though proof's a blur,
when after death, we leave all strife
until our Easter bursts in life.
