This is a tale of Mary Bright
Gave a left hand signal then turned right
A team of coach and horses racing by
Sent Mary’s bike into the sky

This accident could have been prevented
If rear view mirrors had been invented
Out came the shovels and a bin
To put the remains of Mary in

Undertakers called Hope and Pin
Created such a disgraceful sin
Started fighting over Mary’s bin
As they fought the crowd joined in

While this action was going on
Two body snatchers came along
This opportunity could not be passed
Picked up the bin then ran off fast

Delivering it to doctor Quinn
He took the parts out from the bin
This challenge he thought was really great
Drank two bottles of Gin to celebrate

While still inebriated from the Gin
Assembled the parts from Mary’s bin
When the parts were sewn up tight
He had re-produced Mary Bright

She started nagging him that night
And continued on until broad day light
Knowing that he was doing right
Returning Mary to Tommy Bright

When Tommy found she wasn’t a ghost
In celebration he gave a toast
To nagging wives who I love the most
Tell you the truth I’m as deaf as a post
