Grows a wild rose
If I will ever reach this flower
Heaven only knows

The hill is high, the river wide
There is much that stands between
The rose that grows upon the hill
The most beautiful I've seen

It may have some thorns and withered leaves
But this I know for sure
The lust I feel to hold this rose
Is nothing else but pure

I know the river could drown my soul
And the hill is infinately high
But I will risk it all to make
This lovely flower mine [comments] => 3 [counter] => 116 [topic] => 2 [informant] => hansond83 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry ) Your Poetry Dot Com - The Rose
