Pity of Passion

A build of intensity,
A wall of pure frustration,
Such a scatter of deserted emotions,
A loss of concentration.
This was who I was,
But no longer who I am,
My feet were set in my dreams,
But no longer I can stand.
The intensity has since faded,
Topics are quite so dull,
I was standing on the edge of the world,
But everyday I come closer to the fall.
My mind longs for abstract work,
My imagination has since been lost,
My logic has taken over,
And my creativity will pay the cost.
My words have become riddles,
Not even I can comprehend,
No method to solve such a slur,
My passion has come to an end.
Yet it still lingers beneath my breath,
And my dreams are still in tact,
If only I could write such words again,
That could make an impact.
