Not everyone senses the scent of the dead,

Into moonlight hats and shimmering dresses,
And waits there, oh so slowly,
Until your time will come. Alongside death, there is a scent,
Not putrid, rotten fruit and worms,
Gorgin on life well lived,
But lonely; lingering loneliness,
A smell that cannot leave without it's dues.

Not everyone senses the scent of the dead,
As it seeps, oh so slowly, slowly,
Into moonlight hats and shimmering dresses,
And waits there, oh so slowly,
Until your time will come.
