separating your world from mine
My reflection disappears~
as I retrace the crossed line...

Backing away I stumble~
regaining my feet I run
As the world behind me crumbles~
with so much left undone...

The wherefore & why I sought~
still a pipe dream unknown
So uselessly for fought~
& on the wind away blown...

Left in a world turned nightmare~
to question where I belong
With no understanding shared~
for what had become my song...

Too much did I reveal~
on this fools errand for gold
Through alchemy made deals~
for what could not be sold...

But learn I did as I cried~
for what could never be
Letting the wish within me die~
so that from it I'd be free...

Through the misty veil of tears~
separating your world from mine
My reflection disappears~
as I retrace the crossed line...

Backing away I stumble~
regaining my feet I run
As the world behind me crumbles~
with so much left undone...

The wherefore & why I sought~
still a pipe dream unknown
So uselessly for fought~
& on the wind away blown...

Left in a world turned nightmare~
to question where I belong
With no understanding shared~
for what had become my song...

Too much did I reveal~
on this fools errand for gold
Through alchemy made deals~
for what could not be sold...

But learn I did as I cried~
for what could never be
Letting the wish within me die~
so that from it I'd be free...
