magnolia scents the air
not a wisp of wind to spare.
I think the city noise
has scared the wind away.
Missing the song of my wind chimes tonight
no dancing for me right now.

The rain has made an escape
no moon to light the sky.
Yet peace seems to surround me now
big city beats coming in my open windows
the only bustling sounds.
I still miss my windchimes song
no dancing for me right now.
No dancing for them either
the dance floor this night is closed.
The eve is hushed, no nature noise
just city beats right now.

Sitting at home alone
by light of soft candle glow.
magnolia scents the air
not a wisp of wind to spare.
I think the city noise
has scared the wind away.
Missing the song of my wind chimes tonight
no dancing for me right now.

The rain has made an escape
no moon to light the sky.
Yet peace seems to surround me now
big city beats coming in my open windows
the only bustling sounds.
I still miss my windchimes song
no dancing for me right now.
No dancing for them either
the dance floor this night is closed.
The eve is hushed, no nature noise
just city beats right now.
