My phone is silenced by layers of undesirable feelings; a burden carried by its owner.

My recollections are cloaked with loneliness and grief.
Rejection has casually swallowed my hopes whole, leaving me bare of willingness.

Desirableness is absent, as we speak.
Dreams still fleetingly flutter in thought, however, rummaging for prospects.
If only it knew the despair punctuating this exploration.
If only it knew the disappointment patiently awaiting a conclusion to the seemingly infinite search. Wide awake I lie, in this worn, familiar night.
My phone is silenced by layers of undesirable feelings; a burden carried by its owner.

My recollections are cloaked with loneliness and grief.
Rejection has casually swallowed my hopes whole, leaving me bare of willingness.
Each day stings on old wounds, open for townspeople to see.
Desirableness is absent, as we speak.
Dreams still fleetingly flutter in thought, however, rummaging for prospects.
If only it knew the despair punctuating this exploration.
If only it knew the disappointment patiently awaiting a conclusion to the seemingly infinite search.
