It tells of a giant stag, said to be the biggest in the UK, shot by poachers. Is there no end to man's destructive ways? [bodytext] => The great stag, noble and majestic roamed free
Across the vast wild Devon moor,
But now reality has blighted this freedom for me
And shaken my world to it's very core.

For to this moor the hunters came
With knives and guns and an arrogant frown
And here they played their macho game
Killed and gutted and returned in triumph to the town.

And once again man's unjust pursuit of the living,
His lust and hatred openly displayed,
Leaves me down and quite unforgiving
Of the hell on earth that man has made. The great stag, noble and majestic roamed free
Across the vast wild Devon moor,
But now reality has blighted this freedom for me
And shaken my world to it's very core.

With knives and guns and an arrogant frown
And here they played their macho game
Killed and gutted and returned in triumph to the town.

And once again man's unjust pursuit of the living,
His lust and hatred openly displayed,
Leaves me down and quite unforgiving
Of the hell on earth that man has made.
