Tell me what you see.
The scarred soul of a girl.
Afraid to be all she can be.

Hidden in the darkness.
Breathing in nothing but dust.
Dwelling with the shadows of the night.
Not knowing who to trust.

Running from the warmth of love.
And light of the sun.
Choosing a life of blindness.
And the company of a gun.

Her face once illuminated with light.
Now to be dimmed by her heart.
Dwelling with the shadows of the night.
Breaking her two lives apart.

Her soul, never to be whole again.
But the constant pain is over.
Seeing without light.
It is but just a cover.

Deep down inside she aches for love.
For the smiles and joy.
Dwelling with the shadows of the night.
Has no power but to destroy.
