Because every single day everything was the same
I didn't do variety, I didn't like change
There were some folk who even thought I was strange
I'd be lost at sea
If you'd not found me

I'd get breakfast at six and have lunch by two
After work I'd look at the lakeside view
I'd get dinner at seven and be in bed by ten
And then I'd get up and do it all again
I'd never be free
If you'd not found me

You have changed all that I am and the person I was
It's done to you
I didn't believe all that they had to say but now I know
That it was true
We only get one life that we can live
So make it last
I know I can't go back but I can start all over again
And forget the past

Life is for living so I will do just that
It's not too late
And with you there to help me get through, I am sure
Life will be great
I owe you so much, how can I repay you?
For all you've done
I don't think words can really explain what you are
You're the best bar none

I didn't do variety, I didn't like change
There were some folk who even thought I was strange
I'd be locked without a key

You said my life was a crying shame
