beyond where any tears would weep,
well below the everyday
that a razor blade could slice away
indeed, she went beyond the bone,
to niches she had never known
and shone a light into herself
where futures sat along their shelf
in demise, her epiphany
insight doesn’t come for free;
there’s always loss beyond the pain
and reasons, many to refrain
…too late.
