At the foot of my bed
So exhausted she looks
From the tears she has shed

"Please, help me", she cried
Such distress in her eyes
All her aura expelled
As she realised, she'd died

I rose up from my sleep
Took her gaze, held it deep
Then I reached out my hand
This, her secret, I'd keep

So I listened intently
And spoke to her gently
As she poured out her heart
Felt relief, so immensly

We sat there all night
Talking under moon's light
Till her eyes came a glow
And sun bathed her in white

Now she stands with a smile
Death no longer a trial
And, she visits me often

There's a lady in red
At the foot of my bed
So exhausted she looks
From the tears she has shed

"Please, help me", she cried
Such distress in her eyes
All her aura expelled
As she realised, she'd died

I rose up from my sleep
Took her gaze, held it deep
Then I reached out my hand
This, her secret, I'd keep

So I listened intently
And spoke to her gently
As she poured out her heart
Felt relief, so immensly

We sat there all night
Talking under moon's light
Till her eyes came a glow
And sun bathed her in white

Now she stands with a smile
Death no longer a trial
And, she visits me often
If only just for a while
