Of an innocent child!
A promise…A lie
Of ending crime!

Baghdad, the heritage…the treasure;
Ruined by our so-called brothers.
Messing around cause they have leisure;
Annoyed to see us together…

Defiled women…decapitated men
Drifting, yet struggling against the waves,
Defying devious plans weaved in the den,
Defeating injustice, refusing to be slaves.

Swaying steadily in streams of blood,
Spitting the truth at the face of the swanks
Suddenly, a swarm comes out as flood;
The siege retreats promising to break ranks!

A cry…A sigh
Of an innocent child!
A promise…A lie
Of ending crime!

Baghdad, the heritage…the treasure;
Ruined by our so-called brothers.
Messing around cause they have leisure;
Annoyed to see us together…

Defiled women…decapitated men
Drifting, yet struggling against the waves,
Defying devious plans weaved in the den,
Defeating injustice, refusing to be slaves.

Swaying steadily in streams of blood,
Spitting the truth at the face of the swanks
Suddenly, a swarm comes out as flood;
The siege retreats promising to break ranks!
