And kiss my throat
Then make content my belly,
We'll three retire
Beside the fire
Just you and me and Shelley.

For when I sit
In spite of it
(In spite of feelings lonely),
All that I need
Will ever plead
A port and poet only.

And if by chance
I fall to trance
And the golden coals fade dark,
Don't think me rude
My manners crude
I'm dreaming of his (blithe) skylark.

And when I'm gone
I'll leave alone
My book and empty jug,
Dead fire now
And then somehow
A new grave, freshly dug.
