The bum and the businessman
sacrifice queen for queen.
Judging and perceiving
as the spilled watercolors
soak into the stones below
the concrete bench.
Lifeguards are stopping suicides
while the children drown
in a single file line.

and he speaks from his mind

Dead feathers and rot linger as
