In so many different ways,
To see the tree's and hear the laughter,
To see the graffitti and hear the screams,
A still place,
Or a bustling place,
A gray world,
Or a world of color,

Some days I look around,
And I wonder,
Why can't I see the light?
What happened to love?

Sometimes I close my eyes,
And I wonder,
How the world morphed in so little days?
When the affection turned to bitterness?

Where did it go?
Where?

To see the world as a place of colors, and hope,

Oh, where did it go?

To be replaced of a vision of black and white, and despair,

Why must innocence fade as we grow old?
Why must sin come upon us in our darkest times?
Why must this happen?

To look at the world,
In so many different ways,
To see the tree's and hear the laughter,
To see the graffitti and hear the screams,
A still place,
Or a bustling place,
A gray world,
Or a world of color,

Some days I look around,
And I wonder,
Why can't I see the light?
What happened to love?

Sometimes I close my eyes,
And I wonder,
How the world morphed in so little days?
When the affection turned to bitterness?

Where did it go?
Where?

To see the world as a place of colors, and hope,

Oh, where did it go?

To be replaced of a vision of black and white, and despair,

Why must innocence fade as we grow old?
Why must sin come upon us in our darkest times?
Why must this happen?

Why?
