the depth of who I am,
and the shattered little boy inside.

You will see the horrors that plague me,
the demons that seek to destroy me, corrupt me.
You will see the battle that takes place,
every hour of every day.

You will see the driving force,
that pushes me day and day.
The never ending struggle for a better life,
for a more hopeful future.

You will see the soul of a man,
who has seen life and death.
Who has been scarred by so much,
yet still pushes forward despite the pain.

You will see the love that he hides,
so afraid to show.
So scared to be loved,
to be broken by love.

You will see the tiredness that wracks his mind,
the pain that wracks his mind and body.
And how he lives with it everyday,
without hope of it ever ending.

You will see the fire that drives this man,
that only burns brighter and brighter.
There lives inside the will to never quit,
the will to fight on.

You will see the determination,
to help those he cares about.
To help those in need,
to give his life for another if necessary.

You will see me,
the good and the bad.
You will see how despite everything,
there is happiness behind these eyes. Look into my eyes,
and you will see,
the depth of who I am,
and the shattered little boy inside.

You will see the horrors that plague me,
