All alone
Needing to find
Her way home

Never knew
It would be
So hard for her
To even breathe

The screaming
Ringing in her ears
Are all that
She ever hears

Now she sees
What she missed all along
Tears fall from her heart
She doesn’t belong

Crying into her pillow
Trying to understand
The tears are raindrops
Falling in her two hands

They feel like fire
Upon her heart
Can’t escape it
And falls apart

She constantly thinks:
Is it me?
Am I the reason,
They fight and scream

How can I help
Make the fighting end?
I miss mommy and daddy
When they were friends

She hides in her room
Trying not to look
Seeing them this way
Is like reading a horror book

Constant screams
Over her it seams
Now she has lost
All of her dreams

The words exchanged
Are hurtful and cruel
It makes her feel
Like a total fool

Glass shatters
Tears fall
The yelling continues
Through it all

Mommy Stop!
Daddy No!
I love you both
Please don’t go

I hate you fighting
Don’t be mad
I’ll be better
And make you glad

Just please stop yelling
And throwing things
Cause what good
Does it bring?

I want you both
To get along together
What can I do
To make it better?

I know it’s my fault
I know that’s why you fight
And it makes me cry
All through the night

Pictures that once
Hung on the wall
Now flying through the air
And are bound to fall

She feels all alone
No where to go
Just has the pain
She tries not to show

Her whispers are never heard
Her parents still fight
And her tears still fall
To this very night

She is just a fragile little girl
Fighting things she can’t control
Never knowing what to do
Or where to go
