At long last my reason has come
Those in the know, will know why
Time now is shorter than ever
Most would think this idea isn't clever

Friends are here now, how long for is something else
Most of them think of me, others only about themselves
Some see that life is sweet, I wish I could see what they see
I cannot keep control of these feelings, like watching a drop of water in the sea

People are close by circumstances, others by choice and some are even paid
Waiting for me to make one little mistake, so they can say we was right
Can't have children, much too afraid to get laid
All I can do now, or able to do is write.

So here I am writing one last letter
For who reads this it doesn't matter
I hope you find this before I go
So you can keep me, safe, awake, aware and here. At long last my reason has come
Those in the know, will know why
Time now is shorter than ever
Most would think this idea isn't clever

Friends are here now, how long for is something else
