As a pyre ship, sailing into the night
My soul still thine, through all emprise
Beseeching forgiveness, all too trite

Grand and empty halls, I wander still
Each passing day, to what remains
Heeding heart strings plucked to trill
When once there were loving strains

A prayer for a love’s remnants rite
Upon cracked lips thirsting for more
Search thine heart ‘fore the dying light
For such as was our Heaven before

Loose not that final alighted shot
Let it rekindle in thy eyes, what it is sought

A fading light grows in thy eyes
As a pyre ship, sailing into the night
My soul still thine, through all emprise
Beseeching forgiveness, all too trite

Grand and empty halls, I wander still
Each passing day, to what remains
Heeding heart strings plucked to trill
When once there were loving strains

A prayer for a love’s remnants rite
Upon cracked lips thirsting for more
Search thine heart ‘fore the dying light
For such as was our Heaven before

Loose not that final alighted shot
Let it rekindle in thy eyes, what it is sought
