My Muses takes a vacation now & then,
leaves me without
a writ-able thought in my head.
Sure I still fantasize about the
one legged lady downstairs
You know I’m fairly sure I could have her.
I’ve seen the way she looks at me,
when she thinks I’m not looking,
but.

I’m like everyone else till she returns,
starts whispering in my ear once again.
Obvious poems I somehow overlook
while she’s gone.
