and said you are the cutest retard
you were so adorable, last night

I know, I should of been paying attention
I should have been listening
I should have realized
you're her brothers wife

-as clumsy as I am-
I smiled as I felt
like bashing my head into the wall
for the last 24

she smiled a cute smile
talked to her sister inlaw
and waved on her way out

So maybe an angel showed up
and said I drove here to see you
my god it's been so long

She asks "you know who I am?"

-as clumsy as I am-
of course, last time I saw you was at Sean's

...and we talked for a few
She gave me a hug that felt like home

She turned and walked away
with a smile on my face
I returned to work

...and it dawns on me
the substance on the wall
it isn't my blood
it's not blood at all
it's a life force of paint
for me to use
to create and tell in symbols
some poeple are angels
but in my life she's a saint

...and maybe one day it will be safe
