a continuous emotion of nothingness,
constantly viewing through a cloud
the world around me.
Unable to penetrate, the sun
seemed so far away.
Alone and confused
in a world of light,
when all I knew was darkness.

And God is with me... Ha...
Those nights spent crying,
screaming to the sky
for an end to the blackness,
and answered only by a dark silence.

And God carries me... Ha!
Those days spent so heavy,
impossible to lift myself from the bed,
each eyelid a soaked weight
over my eyes,
trying exhaustedly to pry them open.

And God heals... HA!!
One person conquers the night,
only for an other to suffer anew. I remember the long days of suffering,
a continuous emotion of nothingness,
constantly viewing through a cloud
the world around me.
Unable to penetrate, the sun
seemed so far away.
Alone and confused
in a world of light,
when all I knew was darkness.

And God is with me... Ha...
Those nights spent crying,
screaming to the sky
for an end to the blackness,
and answered only by a dark silence.

And God carries me... Ha!
Those days spent so heavy,
impossible to lift myself from the bed,
each eyelid a soaked weight
over my eyes,
trying exhaustedly to pry them open.

And God heals... HA!!
One person conquers the night,
only for an other to suffer anew.
