[title] => You Never Came
[time] => 2008-06-01 02:13:35
[hometext] =>
[bodytext] => I know you’re hurting;
You and your dad were close.
And now he’s in jail.
But you owed me last night.
Why couldn’t you have just gone?
I was in a dress,
Something no one sees twice in a lifetime.
My hair was all pretty;
But you didn't see that either.
I was dancing with everyone else,
Letting the music fill up the holes you left inside of me.
I’d hoped you would’ve come;
Even if for 5 minutes.
But you never did.
So I pretended I was okay with it,
And danced with my friends during the slow songs.
Although, secretly, I was waiting for you.
But you never came.
You owed me it,
And.
You.
Never.
Came.
