My eyes cannot see , is she vision or dream
to meet me at dusk she appears in my mind
the essence of spirit, no concept of time
she comes gently to me, this time every night
our hands almost touch. too soon gone from sight
I live just to see her, my eyes they do strain
she's gone way too soon, like a songs last refrain
How can I be taken, by this creature of light
so oft' have I known her, in her garment of white
it falls to the floor, a feather at her feet
exposed from the mist, I now feel the heat
I walk slowly to her, her shoulders now bare
caress her so gently, my hands thru' her hair
Thru this moment become, as one with the night
hoping and praying, the sun lose it's light
but this blanket of mist cannot last forever
The sun takes her from me, to hold maybe never
I wait for that dream, same time every night
My eyes slowly open, of this vision lose sight
I hold to the darkness, and wait for the mist
Too soon is the dawn, we share one last kiss [comments] => 5 [counter] => 181 [topic] => 24 [informant] => UnknownLegend [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered ) Your Poetry Dot Com - Vision of the Mist
