conjuring up the walls
inside my head
just to drown it out
just to keep you behind a barrier

posed for the next attack

Ready to take another step backwards
in spite of you

Ready to throw it all away
shove it in your face
just to prove myself

I don't need your advise
you ORDERS

little insecurities
because you can't control me anymore

But it doesn't really matter
because I can't even hear you right now

All I hear is the ***** clock
thumping in my ears

every minute so incredibly clear
that I'm being pushed closer to the edge

where the pressure builds
steadily beneath the surface

I can feel something about to give
about to break
Every time you speak to me

Telling me what I think
Trying to pry
to reach into my head

twisting everything I tell you
and shoving me further away

Why can't you just shut up?
leave me alone
for once in my life

I don't need you there
when I finally break the silence

I'm not going to listen when you tell me to turn around
I won't back away from the edge
I won't do anything for you

I'm in perfect control
I control nothing.
And you're standing in my way

So shut up and leave.
I don't need a lecture on my imperfections
my flaws

More of your selfish words
filling my head.

Shut up.
Just shut up.

I've had enough of this
I'm not under your command anymore
I'm not your SLAVE

I can take care of myself
without you standing over my shoulder
telling me how to be

I can make it on my own
And I don't care if I fall

it's my choice
my life

I can live it without your insistent whining
in my ear

So why don't you just shut your mouth
and swallow those words
