standing beside
herself
troubled and alone
isn't that what it's coming to anyway?

i used to watch her
waiting for the bus
pocket full of quarters
head full of
such sad music
thing will change, she said
gave me full blue eyes and
said,
the things, they always change

crashing forward,
tumbling down stairs
now, i suppose, she watches me
after all, the things, they've changed
after everything, it's changed
and, pockets empty
i walk to the end

Rachel, love, where are you?
and what have you done to me?
what becomes of us, now
that we are so changed?
