When I my blood refuses to flow and I sleep beneath the rocks
When my last dance is danced and my eyes close for the last time
When my pen is out of ink and i've written my last rhyme
Who will remember me and what will I be remembered for?
Or will they even know me when they close the herse door?
Will it be for the hatred i've shown one time or another?
Or the peace i've tried to find between me and my brother?
Will the remember the smiles that visited my face?
Or the tears i cried that were out of place?
Will they see the wings on my back or just the ink on my skin?
Will they know my life was over before i they let it begin?
But does it really matter how you feel once i've passed
As long as our memories were built to last?
So as the lids all close and I meet eternity
Know that my life was all I made it to be
And on my tombstone let it read
